Running Your Own Creative Business, Wollongong.
This is an essential course for anyone working in a creative field. Creative practitioners often prefer to concentrate on creative and artistic output, but secured financial viability and success relies on the ability to navigate the world of small business too.
How do you manage an irregular income stream? What are the legal and taxation obligations of your business?
How do you develop a valuable and workable business plan? How should you structure your contracts? and what should you look for prior to signing one? How does copyright law work in regards to your own work and that of others? How can you market and present your business in a memorable and unique way?
These questions and more will be answered and participants will walk away with new understanding and a defined path forward.
“Running Your Own Creative Business” is one of AFTRS’ most popular courses and is taught by Monica Davidson who, through practicing what she preaches, has a long and distinguished career as a successful freelance director and writer.http://www.freelancesuccess.com.au/monica.html
